Line angle

Line angle in dentistry, the junction of two surfaces of the crown of a tooth, or of a tooth cavity. An angle formed by the junction of two planes; used to designate the junction of two surfaces of a tooth, or of two walls of a tooth cavity preparation. Smile line refers to an imaginary line along the incisal edges of the maxillary anterior teeth which should mimic the curvature of the superior border of the lower lip while smiling.
